What is BookYourData?

BookYourData is a pay-as-you-go B2B contact data provider. You search its database of business contacts in a web app called Prospector, filter by industry, location, job title, company size, revenue, technologies and more, then spend credits to unlock and download the contacts you want. Each email address is checked in real time at the moment you export it, so the file you get reflects whether the address works that day.

The company trades as Bookyourdata, a registered trademark of A Direct Marketing Inc., according to its site footer. At the time of writing it describes its database as 500 million+ profiles, including 250 million+ B2B contacts, 150 million+ work emails, 50 million+ mobile direct dials and 30 million+ companies across 200+ countries, refreshed every 30 to 90 days. Those are vendor figures, and we have not been able to check them independently.

The problem it solves is narrow and practical: you need a list of, say, 2,000 operations managers at US logistics companies, with working emails, for a campaign this quarter, and you do not want a 12-month data subscription to get it. Unlike ZoomInfo or RocketReach, BookYourData has no monthly plan at all. You buy a credit pack once and use it whenever you like.

Beside the self-serve platform, BookYourData sells three done-for-you services: BeSpoke (researchers hand-build a list to your brief), Direct Dials (it finds phone numbers for people you name) and Data Appending (it fills blank fields in a file you already have).

Who it is for

  • Small businesses and agencies that buy contact data a few times a year for specific campaigns and resent paying a subscription in the months they do not use it.
  • Founders and SDRs testing a new market or segment who want a few hundred verified emails before committing to a bigger tool.
  • Marketers and event teams building a one-off list by territory, industry or job function, for example for a trade show invitation or a launch announcement.
  • Teams with a CRM already in place that want to top it up with net-new contacts, using suppression and deduplication to avoid paying for people they already have.

It is a poor fit for teams that prospect every day and want contact data, sequencing, a dialer and AI agents in one place; Apollo.io or a sequencer with a built-in database is more efficient there. It is also not an intent-data or account-based marketing platform. If your plan is to email large purchased lists from your main domain with no warm-up, no tool will save you from deliverability problems, and this one is no exception.

Key features

  • Prospector search. More than 100 filters, according to the vendor, covering firmographics (industry, revenue, employee count, SIC and NAICS codes), contact details (job title, department, management level) and signals such as technographics, last funding round and job postings. The Filters panel sits on the left of the screen, and Clear All at the top resets a search.
  • Include and exclude lists. The Job Titles tab has separate Include and Exclude boxes (one title per line), and the Company Name & URL tab has an Include / Exclude List of Companies pop-up where you paste company names or domains in bulk. This is useful for account-based lists and for keeping competitors or current customers out.
  • Real-time email verification at export. Every address is checked when you download it and labelled DELIVERABLE, UNDELIVERABLE or RISKY (RISKY means a catch-all domain that accepts all mail). At export you choose Deliverable Only or Deliverable & Risky, and credits are charged only for the emails included in the file.
  • One credit per contact. A credit unlocks the full record, including email, phone where available and company fields, with no extra charge per field. The vendor lists 100+ attributes, but says not every record carries every one.
  • Deduplication and suppression. The Deduplication / Suppression tab defaults to Net-New Records, so contacts you have already downloaded are left out of new searches. You can also upload a suppression list of contacts you already own before you buy.
  • Lists and saved filters. Add to List groups contacts for later without spending credits; lists live under My List in the left sidebar. Save Filter stores the search criteria themselves so you can rerun or adjust a search later.
  • Exports and integrations. Downloads come as CSV (up to 50,000 records per download). BookYourData’s help centre says contacts can also be pushed directly to HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho CRM, Pipedrive, Outreach, ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, Brevo and other tools at no extra cost, and the pricing page says an API is available.
  • Done-for-you services. BeSpoke, Direct Dials and Data Appending each start with 10 free sample records, then charge per delivered record (see Pricing).

Pricing

BookYourData has no subscriptions. You buy one-time credit packs in US dollars; one credit unlocks one contact, credits never expire and the per-contact rate falls as the pack gets bigger. Prices below are from the vendor’s pricing page at the time of writing.

Credits (contacts)PriceCost per contact
10 (Free Pack)$0, no credit card-
250$99$0.40
500$159$0.32
1,000$299$0.30
2,500$599$0.24
5,000$799$0.16
10,000$999$0.10
25,000$2,099$0.08
50,000$3,699$0.07
100,000$5,499$0.05
250,000$8,699$0.03
1,000,000$15,999$0.016
2,500,000$24,999$0.010

The page lists more steps in between (750, 1,500, 3,500, 7,500, 15,000, 35,000, 75,000, 150,000, 350,000, 500,000, 750,000 and 1.5 million credits). The jump in value is steep: 5,000 credits cost only $500 more than 1,000, so it pays to estimate your real volume before buying.

What is included. All packs include the same features, according to the vendor: unlimited team accounts under the main account, CRM integrations, the API and a customer success manager. There are no seat fees.

Price match. BookYourData’s Best Price Guarantee says that if you find a lower rate from a US-based provider with 95% or better deliverability and send the proposal or a screenshot, it will beat it.

Done-for-you services are priced separately:

How to use BookYourData: step-by-step

1. Create an account and test with free credits

  1. Register at app.bookyourdata.com/register. No credit card is needed, and 10 free credits are added automatically.
  2. Run a search for a segment you already know well, such as customers or people in your own industry, so you can judge the data against what you know.
  3. Unlock the 10 contacts and check them: are the titles current, do the companies match, do the emails look right? Treat this as your quality check before buying a pack.

2. Build a targeted list in Prospector

  1. Open the Filters panel on the left. Start with location and industry, then company size or revenue.
  2. Open the Job Titles tab and enter the titles you want in the Include box, one per line (“Head of Operations”, “Operations Manager”, “VP Operations”). Put titles you do not want, such as “Assistant”, in Exclude. Click Save and Search.
  3. For an account list, open Company Name & URL, click Include / Exclude List of Companies, and paste your target domains into Include, or your customers and competitors into Exclude.
  4. Add technographics, funding or job-posting filters if they matter to your offer, for example companies using a CRM you integrate with.
  5. Click Save Filter and give the search a clear name so you can rerun it next quarter.
  6. Optionally select promising records and click Add to List to group them under My List before spending credits.

3. Exclude contacts you already have

  1. Scroll to the Deduplication / Suppression tab at the bottom of the Filters section and confirm it shows Net-New Records, the default. That keeps contacts you downloaded before out of the results.
  2. If you already have contacts from another source, upload them as a suppression list so they are removed before checkout and you do not pay for them again.

4. Download or push your contacts

  1. Click the Download button at the top of the page.
  2. Enter the number of leads you want. Each download is capped at 50,000 records; split larger orders.
  3. Choose an Email Verification Preference. Deliverable Only is the safe default for cold email; Deliverable & Risky adds catch-all addresses, which BookYourData’s own guidance says not to mail if your email provider’s bounce threshold is 5% or lower.
  4. Click Download to export the CSV, or choose a connected CRM to push the records instead. Connections use OAuth from the integrations settings, per the help centre.
  5. Import the list into your CRM or sending tool and keep the original file, which you will need if you claim against the guarantee.

5. Claim against the deliverability guarantee

  1. After your first send, export the bounce report from your email tool showing the hard-bounce rate for the purchased list.
  2. Send it to BookYourData support. The help centre says support checks the report against your order and adds free credits equal to the hard-bounce rate above the 3% allowance, so a 10% bounce rate returns 7% in credits.

Tips to get better results

  • Spend the free credits on people you can check. A known segment tells you more about data quality than a random sample.
  • Price your volume before you buy. Per-contact cost drops from $0.40 to $0.10 between 250 and 10,000 credits, and credits never expire, so a larger pack can be cheaper overall if you will use it within the year.
  • Export Deliverable Only for cold email. You are charged only for the emails in the file, so leaving RISKY addresses out saves credits as well as bounces.
  • Use Exclude as much as Include. Excluding junior titles, existing customers and competitors keeps credits for contacts you will actually email.
  • Warm up before you send. BookYourData’s own advice is a dedicated outbound domain, 2 to 3 weeks of warm-up, 50 to 100 emails a day at the start, and removing hard bounces immediately.
  • Send through a proper sequencer. BookYourData does not send email. Pair it with a tool such as lemlist or Reply.io, which handle throttling, follow-ups and unsubscribes; our Reply.io vs lemlist comparison helps you choose.
  • Keep bounce reports. The guarantee depends on a report for the specific list you bought, so label campaigns by list.

Limitations and common problems

  • Vendor figures, inconsistently stated. The 97% guarantees, the 500 million+ profile count and the G2 badges are all the vendor’s own claims. Its pages also disagree in places: the guarantees page illustrates a 20% bounce rate with 22% replacement data, while the help centre’s formula gives 17%. Ask support to confirm the terms in writing before a large order.
  • Personal emails. The help centre says the database holds business contact data only, but the pricing page lists “direct work or personal email” among record fields and counts 50 million+ personal emails. If you are emailing EU or UK contacts, check what you are exporting.
  • Integration status is unclear. The help centre lists a dozen native CRM pushes, but the Prospector page places a “Coming Soon” label next to its integrations section. Confirm the integration you need on the free account before buying.
  • Small packs are not cheap. At $0.40 per contact, 250 credits cost more per record than many subscription tools. The model only pays off for occasional buyers or large one-off orders.
  • No sending tools. You need a separate email or sequencing platform, plus your own domain warm-up.
  • Phones cost extra for named people. Direct Dials for a list you supply is a separate service starting at $499, not something credits pay for.
  • Compliance is shared. BookYourData says it complies with GDPR, CCPA, PECR and CAN-SPAM, and its help centre says the customer is responsible for sender identification, an opt-out link and honouring opt-outs. Email-marketing law varies by country, so check the rules where your recipients are before you send.

Verdict

Sign up for BookYourData if you buy B2B contact data in bursts, for a campaign, a new territory or an event, and want verified emails without a monthly bill. Start with the 10 free credits on a segment you know, export Deliverable Only, use Net-New Records and suppression lists to avoid paying twice, and buy the pack size you will genuinely use; the per-contact price only gets attractive from a few thousand credits.

Skip it if your team prospects every day and wants data, sequencing and dialing in one subscription, if you need intent data and ABM, or if you were planning to blast a purchased list from your main domain. In those cases a platform like Apollo.io or ZoomInfo, or a better sending setup, matters more than the data source.

At the time of writing, BookYourData sells one-time credit packs in US dollars: 250 credits for $99, 500 for $159, 1,000 for $299, 5,000 for $799, 10,000 for $999 and 100,000 for $5,499, falling to $24,999 for 2.5 million. One credit unlocks one contact. There is no subscription.

Is BookYourData free?

New accounts get 10 free credits with no credit card, which unlock 10 contacts so you can test the data. After that you buy a credit pack. The free credits do not cover BeSpoke custom list building.

Do BookYourData credits expire?

No. BookYourData says credits never expire and are not locked, because there is no subscription to cancel. You can buy a pack and use it over several months.

What is BookYourData's 97% deliverability guarantee?

BookYourData promises 97% deliverability. If your hard-bounce rate on a purchased list is higher than 3%, you send support the bounce report and it adds free credits for the shortfall. It also has a separate 97% accuracy guarantee that refunds credits for individual inaccurate records. Both are vendor guarantees checked by its support team.

Is it legal to buy email lists from BookYourData?

BookYourData says its data is business-only and that it complies with GDPR, CCPA, PECR and CAN-SPAM, and its help centre says the customer is responsible for how the data is used, including sender identification and an opt-out link. Rules differ by country, so check the email-marketing law where your recipients are before sending.

How do I remove my details from BookYourData?

BookYourData runs an opt-out form at optout.bookyourdata.com, linked as Do Not Sell or Share My Info in its site footer. Other personal-data requests go to [email protected].
