What is KrispCall?
KrispCall is a cloud business phone system. It gives your team virtual phone numbers (local, mobile, toll-free and vanity) in more than 100 countries, and lets everyone make and take calls and send texts from a web app, desktop apps for Windows, Mac and Linux, Android and iOS apps, or a browser extension. There is no desk phone or SIM card involved: a number lives in the account and rings whoever you assign it to.
The company behind it is KrispCall Communications Inc., which presents itself as US-based. Its Fair Usage Policy refers to the provider as “Krisp Telephony”. It is not the same company as Krisp, the noise-cancellation app, despite the similar name.
The problem KrispCall solves is the cost and hassle of giving a small team professional numbers in several markets. A sales team in one country can hold a London number, a Toronto number and a Sydney number, call prospects from the matching local caller ID, and log every call in the CRM. On top of the phone basics it adds sales tools (Power Dialer, bulk SMS, voicemail drop) and a set of AI features it calls AI Copilot, which transcribes and summarises calls and helps draft text replies.
Who it is for
- Small sales teams that call prospects in several countries and want local caller IDs without opening offices there.
- Outbound teams that work through call lists and need a power dialer, number rotation and bulk SMS campaigns.
- Support teams that want an IVR menu, call recording and calls logged to a helpdesk such as Zendesk, Help Scout or Gorgias.
- Founders and agencies that want a work number separate from their personal phone at a low monthly price.
- Businesses that need US verification numbers. KrispCall sells Non-VoIP US numbers aimed at receiving one-time passcodes.
Who should not use it: teams that want to test before paying (there is no trial), developers who need a public API or webhooks today (both are marked “Coming Soon”), and contact centres that rely on call queues, which the comparison table also marks “Coming Soon”. KrispCall’s own Fair Usage Policy says the Max plan is not intended for call-centre use.
Key features
- Virtual numbers. Local, mobile, toll-free and vanity numbers in 100+ countries. Starter includes one free US, Canadian or UK number per user. Most international numbers have a monthly fee and need ID or address documents.
- Phone system basics. Call routing, a phone tree (IVR) including multi-level IVR, call forwarding and transfer, voicemail, number sharing between team members and custom caller ID. Call recording and call transfer are listed from the Advance plan.
- Unified Callbox. One inbox for calls, texts, voicemails, notes and contacts, so anyone sharing a number sees the full history with a customer.
- Supervisor tools. Call listening, whispering (coaching the agent without the customer hearing) and barging into a live call.
- Power Dialer. Dials through a contact list automatically. Since 13 October 2026 it supports number rotation, cycling the outbound caller ID across your numbers. Click to dial and voicemail drop are also available.
- Business SMS. SMS and MMS, bulk SMS campaigns, automated messages and SMS forwarding. Included SMS segments cover US and Canadian numbers only and require A2P 10DLC registration first.
- AI Copilot. Call Transcription, Call Summary, voicemail transcription, AI Reply and AI Rephrasing for messages, and AI SMS. Since August 2026 transcripts and summaries can be added to records in supported CRMs. An AI Voice Agent is listed as “Coming Soon”.
- Integrations. KrispCall claims 100+. The comparison table names HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho, HighLevel, monday.com, Close, Kommo, Copper, Freshsales, Zendesk, Intercom, Help Scout, Gorgias, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Outreach, Salesloft, Gong, Zapier, Make, n8n and Pabbly Connect, with Attio in beta.
Pricing
KrispCall has no free plan and no free trial at the time of writing. You pay by card (via Stripe) and get a 14-day unconditional refund on the subscription itself; numbers, add-ons and credits are not refundable. Annual billing is prepaid and saves 20%.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing (per user/month) | Users | Included each month |

Prices are at the time of writing; check krispcall.com/pricing before buying, because the page also runs rotating promotions (a 15% Halloween offer and “up to 2 months free” for switchers were live on 17 October 2026).
The small print matters more than the headline price:
- What included minutes cover. Calls to local numbers in the US, Canada, UK and Australia. Inbound allowances cover routes priced at or below $0.025 per minute. Allowances are pooled across users and do not roll over.
- Everything else is pay-as-you-go from a credit balance, at rates that vary by country and number type. The pricing FAQ describes calls and SMS as billed pay-as-you-go, while the plan cards list included minutes, so read both.
- US texting fees. A2P 10DLC registration costs $4.50 once for the brand and $15 once for campaign vetting, plus $1.50 a month for a low-volume campaign or $2 a month for a sole-proprietor campaign.
- AI add-on pricing is not public. The Advance and Max cards list “Call transcript & summary” and “Power dialer” next to an “Add on” label, and the changelog mentions an “AI Summary purchase” flow, but the pricing page does not publish a price. Ask sales before you count on it.
- Porting US local and toll-free numbers is free; other countries may cost extra.
How to use KrispCall: step-by-step
1. Pick a plan and create the workspace
Sign up on krispcall.com and choose Starter, Advance or Max. If you are unsure, start monthly: the 14-day refund covers the subscription, and you can switch to annual once you know the plan fits. Remember the user caps: Starter stops at five users and Advance at 50.
2. Get your first number
- Choose the country and number type (local, mobile or toll-free). On Starter, one US, Canadian or UK number per user is included.
- For most international numbers, upload the requested ID and address documents. KrispCall uses Veriff for selfie-based identity checks. US, UK and Canadian numbers need no documents according to the FAQ, but the plan cards note that calling and SMS can be limited until identity verification (KYC) is complete, so do it on day one.
- If you are moving an existing number, start a port request instead. US numbers port free.
3. Register for US business texting
If you will text US contacts, submit A2P 10DLC brand and campaign registration straight away. Carriers block or filter unregistered business texts, and the included SMS segments only apply after registration. Budget for the one-off $4.50 and $15 fees and the monthly campaign fee.
4. Invite the team and share numbers
Add members, then assign each number to the people who should answer it. A shared number shows the same calls, texts and voicemails in every member’s Unified Callbox. Install the desktop and mobile apps so calls follow people away from the browser.
5. Build call routing and an IVR
Set business hours, a voicemail greeting and forwarding rules for each number. For a support or main line, create a phone tree: “Press 1 for sales, 2 for support”, with each option routing to a member or group. Keep menus short; two levels is plenty for a small team.
6. Connect your CRM
Open the integrations area and connect your CRM or helpdesk (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho, Close, Zendesk and others). Check that calls and texts are logged against the right contact by placing a test call to a contact that exists in the CRM. On supported CRMs, transcripts and summaries can be attached to the record too.
7. Turn on Call Summary and run your first dialer session
- In Number Settings for the number you want, enable call recording and Call Summary. Summaries only work on recorded calls, so tell callers they are being recorded where the law requires it.
- Make a test call and check the transcript and summary appear in the Callbox.
- On Advance or Max, import a contact list into the Power Dialer, set the outbound number (or enable number rotation if you hold several numbers), and start the session. Use voicemail drop for unanswered calls.
Tips to get better results
- Match caller ID to the market. Call UK prospects from a UK number and US prospects from a US number, so the caller ID looks familiar and return calls are cheap for the customer.
- Do KYC and 10DLC before launch day. Both can take time and both can block calling or texting until they are done.
- Watch the allowance, not just the plan price. Calls to countries outside the US, Canada, UK and Australia, and to mobile or premium routes, come out of your credit balance. Set a top-up habit and check the usage report monthly.
- Use Max for heavy domestic calling, not for a call centre. The 2,000-minute cap and the policy’s exclusions make it unsuitable for high-volume contact centres.
- Enable summaries only on numbers that need them. Because Call Summary is set per number and depends on recording, limit it to sales and support lines and keep personal lines unrecorded.
- Use Free Resource Management. Since September 2026, Starter and Advance admins can arrange numbers, minutes and SMS segments across the team, so heavy callers are not starved.
- Use AI Rephrasing for templates, not for everything. It is useful for cleaning up bulk SMS copy; reread anything customer-facing before you send it.
Limitations and common problems
- No trial. You must pay to test. Workaround: start on monthly billing, test everything that matters in the first two weeks, and request the refund inside the 14-day window if it does not fit.
- Confusing included-minutes rules. The plan cards and the FAQ describe usage differently. Workaround: read the Fair Usage Policy, and ask support for the rate of every country you call before committing.
- “Coming Soon” features. Call queues, noise cancellation, API and webhook access and the AI Voice Agent are not available yet according to the pricing page. Do not buy on the promise of them.
- AI pricing is unclear. The cost of the transcript and summary add-on is not published. Get a written quote if AI summaries are the reason you are buying.
- Data leaves with cancellation. According to the privacy policy, numbers, contacts and call and SMS logs are deleted on the next billing date after you cancel. Export what you need first, and port your numbers out before cancelling.
- Data location. Customer data is processed in the United States, which matters for EU teams with strict data-residency rules. The pricing page claims GDPR compliance and ISO 27001 certification; no SOC 2 report is mentioned. KrispCall does not publish which AI provider powers transcription or whether call data is used to train models.

Verdict
Sign up for KrispCall if you are a small or mid-sized sales or support team that needs numbers in several countries, a power dialer, IVR and CRM logging, and you want to pay less per seat than the call-centre platforms charge. Advance is the plan most teams will need, because recording, transfer, the Power Dialer and bulk SMS start there. Skip it, or wait, if you need a free trial, a public API, call queues or clear AI pricing today, and read the fair-use rules carefully before you treat the Max plan as unlimited.
Frequently asked questions
Does KrispCall have a free trial?
