What is SocialBee?
SocialBee is a social media management tool for planning, scheduling and recycling posts across networks such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and Pinterest. Its distinctive idea is content categories: instead of filling a calendar one post at a time, you sort posts into categories (tips, blog posts, promotions, quotes) and attach each category to time slots in a recurring posting schedule. SocialBee then fills those slots from the right category, and can re-queue evergreen posts so good content keeps working.
Around that core it adds an engagement inbox for comments and messages, analytics with exportable reports, team approvals and an AI assistant called Copilot, which drafts a social strategy and posts from information about your business.
SocialBee was launched in June 2016 by SocialBee LABS SRL in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Since August 2024 it has been part of the WebPros group, which also owns Plesk, cPanel and WHMCS. It runs in the browser and has a mobile app.
The problem it solves is consistency. Most small businesses know they should post regularly with a sensible mix of content, but filling a calendar by hand every week is the first job that gets dropped. SocialBee turns that into a system you set up once and top up.
Who it is for
- Small business owners and solo marketers who want a steady posting rhythm across several networks without planning every slot by hand.
- Content-heavy brands with a library of evergreen material (blog posts, tips, product explainers) that is worth resharing.
- Agencies and freelancers managing several clients, who can separate them into workspaces and use the post approval system.
- Teams starting from scratch who want Copilot to suggest which platforms, categories and schedule to use.
SocialBee is a weaker fit for teams that mostly post reactively, as the category system pays off only when you plan ahead. Small teams that need several users should note that Bootstrap and Accelerate allow one user each, so you jump to Pro at $99 a month or pay $10 a month per extra user. And if your main goal is client reporting across ads, SEO and analytics rather than social posting, a reporting platform such as AgencyAnalytics is the better tool.
Key features
- Content categories and evergreen recycling. Group posts into categories, map them to a recurring weekly schedule and let evergreen posts go back into the queue. Bootstrap allows 10 categories (1,000 posts each), Accelerate 50 (5,000 posts each), and Pro and above unlimited.
- Copilot. The AI social media manager (labelled AI Assistant in the navigation). It learns about your business from your website or a short chat, then proposes platforms, content categories, a posting schedule and draft posts. It also writes and rewrites captions, adjusts tone, suggests hashtags and creates per-platform variations. AI image generation inside Copilot uses DALL-E 3. Nothing is posted without your approval, and you own the captions and images it generates. AI content generation is listed as unlimited on every plan.
- Post tools. Post variations per network, expiring posts, best-time suggestions, an Instagram grid preview, first comment, UTM parameters, an image editor, alt text and video thumbnails. From Accelerate you also get CSV uploads, a hashtag organizer and a bulk post editor.
- RSS content sources. Pull new posts from feeds: 10 sources on Bootstrap, 30 on Accelerate, unlimited on Pro and above.
- Engagement inbox. Comments, mentions and DMs for Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts; comments and mentions for Threads, LinkedIn Company pages and X; and YouTube comments.
- Analytics and reports. Performance analytics with 3 months of history on Bootstrap and 2 years on higher plans. Advanced analytics start at Accelerate, and branded PDF report exports need Pro or above.
- Collaboration. Workspaces to separate brands or clients, a post approval system (from Accelerate) and internal notes (Pro and above).
- Integrations. Canva, Unsplash and GIPHY for visuals; Quu for content curation; Zapier, Pabbly and Make for automation; and link shorteners including Bitly, Rebrandly, Replug, Switchy, BL.INK, JotURL and Rocketlink.
Direct publishing covers Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, Google Business Profile and Bluesky. Universal Posting covers Facebook Groups, WhatsApp, Telegram, Mastodon, Quora and others through reminders in the mobile app, which means you still press publish yourself.
Pricing
SocialBee has no permanent free plan. There is a 14-day free trial with Pro-plan access, a 30-day money-back guarantee and no contracts, so you can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time. Prices below are in US dollars at the time of writing, before VAT or GST.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Yearly billing | Social profiles | Users | Workspaces | Content categories | Analytics history |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bootstrap | $29/month | $290/year (about $24/month) | 5 | 1 | 1 | 10 | 3 months |
| Accelerate | $49/month | $490/year (about $41/month) | 10 | 1 | 1 | 50 | 2 years |
| Pro | $99/month | $990/year (about $83/month) | 25 | 3 | 5 | Unlimited | 2 years |
| Pro50 | $179/month | $1,790/year | 50 | 5 | 10 | Unlimited | 2 years |
| Pro100 | $329/month | $3,290/year | 100 | 5 | 20 | Unlimited | 2 years |
| Pro150 | $449/month | $4,490/year | 150 | 5 | 30 | Unlimited | 2 years |
The feature gates matter more than the profile counts. Bootstrap is a basic scheduler: no CSV uploads, bulk editor, hashtag organizer, approvals or advanced analytics, which all start at Accelerate. Branded report exports and internal notes need Pro. The Pro50, Pro100 and Pro150 tiers carry the Pro feature set with more profiles and workspaces.
Add-ons are bought in the app: an extra user costs $10 a month ($100 a year), an extra workspace $10 a month ($100 a year), and 5 extra social profiles $15 a month ($150 a year). Payment is by card, PayPal or Amazon Payments. If the trial ends before you choose a plan, posting stops but your settings and content are kept. Check socialbee.com/pricing before buying, as promotional codes and prices change.
How to use SocialBee: step-by-step
1. Start the trial and connect profiles
- Go to socialbee.com and start the 14-day free trial.
- Connect the social profiles you post to. Use business accounts where they exist: the engagement inbox handles DMs only for Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts.
- If you manage more than one brand, create a separate workspace for each on Pro, so their categories and schedules never mix.
- Install the mobile app if you plan to use Universal Posting for networks such as Facebook Groups or WhatsApp.
2. Let Copilot draft your strategy
- Open Copilot (shown as AI Assistant in the menu).
- Give it your website address, or answer its short chat about your business, audience and goals.
- Review what it proposes: which platforms to use, a set of content categories, a posting schedule and draft posts. Copilot adds its output alongside any categories and schedules you already have rather than replacing them.
- Edit or delete anything that does not fit. Treat the drafts as a starting point: check every fact, offer and price before approving, because nothing is published until you do.
3. Build content categories and a posting schedule
- Set up categories that reflect a sensible mix, for example “Tips”, “Blog posts”, “Customer stories” and “Promotions”. Keep promotional categories to a small share of slots.
- Turn on evergreen recycling for categories whose posts stay true over time, such as tips and guides. Leave it off for time-bound content such as events and offers, and use expiring posts for those.
- Build the weekly posting schedule by assigning each time slot to a category and set of profiles. Use the best-time suggestions as a guide.
- Add posts to each category, either by hand, from Copilot, by CSV upload (Accelerate and above) or from RSS feeds.
4. Write and adapt posts with AI
- In the post editor, write a first draft or ask the AI to draft one from a topic.
- Create per-network variations: a shorter caption for X, a more detailed one for LinkedIn, hashtags for Instagram.
- Ask the AI to adjust tone or suggest hashtags, then add alt text, a first comment or UTM parameters before saving.
- For visuals, use the Canva integration, the built-in image editor, Unsplash, or generate an image in Copilot.
5. Approve, engage and report
- If you work with a team or client, send posts through the post approval system (Accelerate and above) before they enter the queue.
- Check the engagement inbox daily for comments, mentions and messages.
- Review analytics monthly. On Pro and above, export a branded PDF report for clients or managers.
- Retire categories and posts that consistently underperform, and add more of what works.
Tips to get better results
- Feed Copilot real context. A clear website or detailed chat answers lead to more specific categories and posts than a one-line description.
- Recycle only evergreen posts. Anything with a date, price or offer should expire, not repeat.
- Write variations, not copies. The same caption on every network looks automated; per-platform variations take minutes and read better.
- Keep a large enough library. If a recycled category has only a few posts, followers will see repeats quickly. Add posts before you add slots.
- Use UTM parameters. Tagged links let you see in your web analytics which posts actually send traffic.
- Check the changelog when something looks wrong. SocialBee posts known issues at changelog.socialbee.com, which can save you from troubleshooting a platform-side outage.
- Pick the plan by features, not profiles. If you need approvals, CSV uploads or more than 10 categories, Bootstrap will not do, even if 5 profiles are enough.
Limitations and common problems
- No free plan, and one user on cheaper plans. Bootstrap and Accelerate are single-user. Budget for Pro or $10 a month per extra user if two people will post.
- Short analytics history on Bootstrap. Only 3 months are kept, so year-on-year comparisons need Accelerate or above, or your own exports.
- Reminder-based networks. Universal Posting for Facebook Groups, WhatsApp, Telegram, Mastodon and Quora sends a reminder to the mobile app; you still post manually.
- Reliability in 2026. The SocialBee changelog records an API outage in July that affected the mobile app, Zapier and Make, missed scheduled posts on 27-28 July, and TikTok posting problems that were marked resolved on 7 September 2026. Keep an eye on the queue for important posts and have a fallback for launches.
- AI details are thin. SocialBee says Copilot images use DALL-E 3 but does not name the model behind text generation, and no limit on AI image generations is published.
- Security certifications. No security or trust page with SOC 2 or ISO 27001 details was found. The WebPros Privacy Policy states that AI inputs, prompts and outputs are not used to train or fine-tune language models.
- Facebook metrics changed. Since 23 June 2026, Facebook analytics show Views instead of Impressions, following Meta’s own change, so older reports are not directly comparable.
Alternatives
- Buffer, Hootsuite, Later and Publer - other widely used social media schedulers; compare their current plans and network support directly, as we have not verified them here.
- Shorby - a link-in-bio page builder, useful alongside any scheduler for Instagram and TikTok traffic.
- Manychat - automates Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and TikTok DMs, which complements scheduled posting.
- AgencyAnalytics - for agencies that need white-label client reports across social, SEO, ads and analytics rather than a scheduler.

Verdict
Sign up for SocialBee if you want a planned, category-based posting system that keeps several networks active, recycles your best evergreen content and uses AI to get the first draft of a strategy and posts on the page. Most single marketers should start on Accelerate, because approvals, CSV uploads, the bulk editor and 50 categories make the system practical. Agencies should look at Pro or the Pro50-150 tiers for workspaces and branded reports. Skip it if you post mostly in the moment, need several users on a tight budget, or depend heavily on the networks it only supports by reminder, and use the 14-day trial to confirm your networks publish reliably before you commit.
