What is Sellfy?
Sellfy is a hosted, no-code store builder for creators. It lets you sell digital downloads (ebooks, music, video, software, templates), subscriptions and memberships, video on demand, physical products and print-on-demand merch from one storefront. You can use the full store, a link-in-bio style store, or buy buttons embedded on your own site or YouTube channel.
It is made by UAB Sellfy, a company in Vilnius, Lithuania, founded in 2011. Sellfy says more than 75,000 creators use it and that stores have made over $165 million in total sales.
The problem it solves: most creators do not want to assemble a website, a cart, file delivery, a payment processor and an email tool just to sell a PDF and a T-shirt. Sellfy bundles those pieces, and payments go directly to your own PayPal or Stripe account rather than through a marketplace.
Who it is for
- Writers, designers and educators selling ebooks, templates, presets or course videos.
- Musicians and producers selling tracks, beats and sample packs as downloads.
- YouTubers, podcasters and streamers who want merch, memberships and buy buttons in their videos.
- Small sellers with a handful of physical products who do not need a full Shopify setup.
Sellfy is not a good fit if you need a free plan to start, a large catalog with complex inventory and variants, or a marketplace that sends buyers your way. It is also unsuitable if you live in a country where neither PayPal nor Stripe is available, because you would have no way to take payments.
Key features
- Store builder. Themes, custom fonts and colours, page modules and custom code, a shopping cart and a mobile-optimised storefront. Connect a Custom Domain with free SSL and set SEO details.
- Digital products. Up to 50 files per product, with PDF stamping (the buyer’s email on each page) and limited downloads to discourage sharing.
- Subscriptions and video on demand. Weekly, monthly or yearly subscriptions for memberships or content libraries, plus streaming video products.
- Physical products and print on demand. Sell your own stock with flat-rate or calculated shipping, or add from 120+ print-on-demand products that Sellfy prints and ships from 11 fulfilment centres.
- Marketing tools. Built-in email marketing for newsletters and product updates (with monthly email credits), Discount codes, Pay What You Want pricing, Product Reviews and Buyer Accounts. On Business and Premium you also get Upselling, Cart abandonment emails and an Affiliate program for your own promoters.
- Embeds. Buy now buttons, product cards and a full store embed for WordPress, Wix and other sites, plus links for YouTube end screens and cards.
- Payments and tax. Connect Stripe (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, iDEAL and other European methods) and PayPal at the same time. Payouts go straight to your account. EU and UK VAT is calculated automatically.
- Integrations, API and MCP. Zapier, Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel and webhooks. A REST API and an MCP server let AI assistants read and manage your store once you approve access.
Pricing
Sellfy prices plans by your annual sales, with 0% Sellfy transaction fees on all of them. Prices below are from Sellfy’s pricing page at the time of writing (checked 19 October 2026), in US dollars.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Billed annually (per month) | Annual sales limit | Max file size | Email credits/month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $29 | $22 | Up to $10,000 | 10 GB | 2,000 |
| Business | $79 | $59 | Up to $50,000 | 15 GB | 10,000 |
| Premium | $159 | $119 | Up to $200,000 | 20 GB | 50,000 |
How to read this:
- Annual billing saves 25%, according to Sellfy. Above $200,000 a year, Sellfy offers a custom high-volume deal through its sales team.
- Trial and refund. There is a 14-day free trial with no credit card, and a 30-day money-back guarantee. There is no free plan.
- Sales limits are soft caps. Your store stays live if you pass the limit, but Sellfy may charge 2% on revenue above it if you do not upgrade.
- Business adds the growth tools: custom checkout fields, upselling, cart abandonment, the affiliate program, product migration and removal of Sellfy branding. Premium adds priority support.
- Migration help. Email migration is on all plans (1-2 business days); product migration is on Business and Premium (5-20 business days); store design migration needs an annual Business or Premium plan.
- Processor fees are extra. PayPal and Stripe charge their own fees, typically 2.9% + 30 cents per sale.
Sellfy’s print-on-demand base prices and shipping rates are listed in its own catalogue; we have not checked them, so compare them with Printify or Tapstitch before choosing.
How to use Sellfy: step-by-step
1. Start a trial and connect payments
- Go to sellfy.com and start the 14-day free trial. No card is needed.
- In your store settings, connect PayPal, Stripe or both. Stripe enables cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and local European methods.
- Check your tax settings so EU and UK VAT is calculated if you sell to those buyers.
2. Set up the storefront
- Open the store customizer and pick a theme.
- Set your logo, fonts and colours, and arrange page modules (featured products, about section, and so on).
- Connect a custom domain via a CNAME record if you have one; SSL is added automatically.
- Fill in the SEO title and description for the store.
3. Add your first digital product
- Add a new product and choose Digital product.
- Upload your files (up to 50 per product, within your plan’s file size limit).
- Write a title and description that say exactly what the buyer gets and in what format.
- Set a price, or turn on Pay What You Want with a minimum.
- Turn on PDF stamping or limited downloads for files you do not want shared.
- Publish and buy it yourself with a discount code to test delivery.
4. Add a subscription or merch
- For memberships, add a Subscription product, set the billing period (weekly, monthly or yearly) and describe what members receive each period.
- For merch, open the print-on-demand section, choose a product such as a T-shirt or mug, upload your design and set the retail price. Sellfy handles printing and shipping when an order comes in.
- For your own stock, add a Physical product and set flat-rate or calculated shipping.
5. Promote and sell
- Share your store link, or copy buy now buttons and product cards into your website or link-in-bio page.
- Add product links to YouTube end screens and cards.
- Collect buyer emails and send a newsletter or product update from the email marketing tab, within your monthly credits.
- Create discount codes for launches, and on Business or higher turn on upsells and cart abandonment emails.
Tips to get better results
- Pick the plan by sales, not features. Estimate annual revenue honestly; Starter’s $10,000 cap is about $833 a month.
- Use annual billing once you are sure. It cuts the price by about a quarter, but try the monthly plan first.
- Embed buy buttons where your audience already is. Sellfy brings no marketplace traffic, so your channel, newsletter or blog does the selling.
- Bundle and upsell. Pairing a template with a video walkthrough raises order value; upselling needs Business.
- Protect files sensibly. PDF stamping deters casual sharing without annoying honest buyers.
- Test the buyer journey on a phone. Many buyers arrive from social apps on mobile; buy your own product end to end.
- Order a merch sample before promoting any print-on-demand product.
Limitations and common problems
- No free plan. The trial is 14 days. If you only sell a few dollars a month, a free or commission-based platform may cost less.
- Low cap on Starter. $10,000 a year is easy to pass with one good launch, and the 2% overage fee applies if you stay on Starter.
- Key growth tools are gated. Upselling, cart abandonment, affiliates and branding removal start at Business ($59-$79 a month).
- Not built for big catalogs. Sellfy suits creators with tens of products, not stores with complex inventory, many variants or multiple warehouses.
- Payment availability. You need PayPal or Stripe in your country.
- Merchant of record status is unclear. Sellfy calculates EU and UK VAT, but its pricing and feature pages do not say whether it acts as merchant of record. Check its help center before relying on it for tax compliance.
- Old privacy policy. The privacy policy was last updated in September 2021. It names processors such as AWS, Stripe, PayPal and Intercom and transfers data outside the EU under standard safeguards, but no security certifications or data processing agreement are published. Sellfy has no AI content-generation features; its AI-related offering is the MCP server.

Verdict
Sign up for Sellfy if you are a creator with an audience and want one tidy store for downloads, memberships and merch, without giving the platform a cut of each sale. Choose the plan by expected annual revenue, and expect to need Business once you want upsells, cart recovery or no Sellfy branding. Skip it if you want a free plan, a marketplace that finds buyers for you, or a large physical-product catalog; Shopify or a dedicated print-on-demand platform will suit you better.
