PromptWises is live. Here is what we publish, how we test AI tools, how often content is updated, and how to follow new reviews, comparisons, guides and news.

PromptWises is reader-supported. Some links may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects our ratings or recommendations.

Today we are launching PromptWises, an independent site that reviews, compares and explains AI tools for people who use them to get work done.

Why another AI site

The AI tool market produces more launches, model updates and pricing changes in a week than most people can follow in a month. A lot of the coverage is either a rewritten press release or a hype thread. We wanted a place that tests tools with real tasks, says plainly which one to pick, and keeps the verdict current when the tools change.

What we publish

PromptWises has four sections:

  • Reviews: hands-on reviews of individual tools with a rating out of five, pros and cons, pricing and a clear “who it is for”. We start with the ChatGPT review and the Claude review.
  • Comparisons: head-to-head pieces that name a winner for each use case, such as ChatGPT vs Claude.
  • Guides: practical, step-by-step material you can apply the same day, starting with how to write better prompts.
  • News: launches, updates and pricing changes that actually affect users, explained without the hype.

How we test

Every rated tool goes through the same set of core tasks so results are comparable: long-form writing, document summarising, factual research, coding and debugging, and media generation where relevant. We score output quality, ease of use, speed and reliability, pricing and value, and privacy. The full method is in our editorial policy.

Updated daily

AI tools change weekly, so a review that is six months old can be wrong. Our content is reviewed and updated continuously: new articles are published daily, and existing reviews show both a published and an updated date so you know how current the verdict is. When a tool changes meaningfully, the rating changes with it.

Independence

We do not accept payment for reviews, and vendors never see a review before it is published. Some links are affiliate links; they have no bearing on ratings or rankings, and we regularly recommend tools that pay us nothing.
